On May 4, Ontario invited 102 bilingual Express Entry Candidates for applying to a provincial nomination under Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream. The candidates are required to get a CRS between 458 and 467.
On May 5, Canadian immigration minister Marco Mendicino discusses the new pathways for temporary residents in Canada. The special event was scheduled for holding the previous announcement pathways for PR for essential workers, French speakers, and students. This program aimed at welcoming about 90,000 immigrants to Canada (50000 for essential workers and 40000 international student graduates). There are 2 streams for essential workers in healthcare with other occupations and 3 for French-speaking essential workers and graduates.
About 90,000 candidates in Canada will get a chance to become permanent residents. The applications will begin for the 6 new limited-time pathways on May 6 as per the information given by the Canadian Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section & the other associations with immigration consultants and lawyers.
British Columbia issued 3,977 invitations for applying through its PNP this year with 84 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination on May 4. There were BC PNP invites issued to the candidates under Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories and the need for a minimum provincial score is 80.
Canada has released guidance for 6-new immigration streams for international graduates and essential workers:
o Stream A Healthcare workers
o Stream B Healthcare workers
o International graduates
o Stream A French-speaking healthcare workers
o Stream B French-speaking essential non-healthcare workers
o French-speaking international graduates
The invites were made for the provincial nomination for PR with 259 applications to apply for a nomination for PR on May 6. Invites were sent to the candidates eligible for SINP nomination from the International Skilled Worker category.

o 123 occupations in-demand sub-category
May 6 Immigration draw is released for Manitoba for inviting 150 candidates for the provincial program through MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program). Manitoba invites immigrants to apply for PNP streams: Skilled workers overseas, International Education Stream, and Workers in Manitoba.
Ontario held the first employer job offering a draw for 2 weeks for launching the new immigration intake system. The invited candidates required work experience in one of the 23 occupations.
Alberta has invited 1659 Express entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in 2021 with a minimum score requirement of 300 for a nomination on May 5. The largest draw of the year invited 250 immigration candidates with the lowest CRS score.
Since February, BC has been conducting 2 separate invitation rounds, and this week, a general draw and targeted draw for retail and wholesale trade managers was held. There are about 400 invites in 5 categories floated for BC PNP every two weeks. In the general draw, the candidates from Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration of BC PNP received the invites.
Canada invites 176 more candidates than PNP increasing the number to 557 candidates to apply for PR on May 12. A minimum score of 752 was required to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA). The automatic 600 points are added to the score when anyone gets a provincial nomination through Express Entry-linked PNP.
Ontario invited 138 international students to apply for provincial nomination on May 18. The candidates were invited with the profiles in their new EOI pool with a minimum scoring requirement of 77 with a job offer in Ontario.
There were 82 invitations through the Tech Pilot program in BC issued through the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration Categories with a minimum provincial score of 80. The total number of invites this year has gone up to 4438.
Manitoba invited a total of 3018 PNP candidates to apply for nomination in 2021 with 232 applications applying for provincial nomination through MPNP for Canadian PR. The invites were made through one of the three PNP streams: Skilled workers in Manitoba, Skilled workers overseas, and the International Education Stream. The candidates applying need to previously submit an EOI profile.
BC has issued 5000 invites to apply for PR residence since the beginning of the year with 370 invites in PNP draws held on May 25.
On May 18, Alberta invited 250 Express Entry candidates for the provincial nomination program in 2021. The draw was announced on May 25 with a CRS requirement of at least 301. Alberta has invited 1909 Express Entry Candidates to apply for PNP since January 2021.
Occupation in-demand with the scoring of 65 was invited for the PNP draw on May 25. The invites were sent for nomination from SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) with the International Skilled Worker category.
Canada invited 500 Express Entry Candidates for PR on May 26 with a minimum score requirement of 713 (600 added automatically as PNP result).
The new Canadian Experience Class draw was held with eligible candidates requiring a score of 397 in the surprise draw. There are 1842 candidates eligible for PR through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
On May 20, Express Entry Labour Impact and Business impact candidates were invited to apply for PNP for permanent residence in Prince Edward Island. There was a total of 155 immigration candidates invited through its PNP (138- Express Entry and Labour Impact Candidates & 17- Business Impact Candidates).
Quebec invites immigrants who have submitted an expression of interest in Arrima. There were 90 candidates to apply for selection on May 27. The candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) will file an EOI in Quebec’s online registration portal.
